This does not apply to any other stabiliser. The Straightliner does not increase the time lag between the brakes of the towing vehicle being applied and the trailer brakes coming into operation. The Straightliner does not change the inherent cornering characteristics of the towing vehicle. A vehicle which under steers can over steer when towing a trailer fitted with a conventional friction stabiliser. With the Straightliner an under steering vehicle will continue to under steer. The Straightliner uses a secondary cam system. This automatically disengages the unit when reversing or making tight manoeuvres. Fitting: The Straightliner is simple to instal and requires no drilling of the caravan/trailer; a car plate is attached to the tow bar. Maintenance: The Straightliner requires no annual maintenance except to be cleaned after use in salty or dusty conditions. Maximum weight: The Straightliner is effective on all trailer/caravan combinations and therefore we do not set weight limitations to its use.

In the recent world towing speed tests (diesel), the Straightliner was used to achieve the World Towing Speed Record, and speeds of 166km/h (over 100 miles per hour) were attained.
