This clamp is recommended by several insurance companies and on approved product lists that offer a discount for fitting a wheel clamp including the Camping and Caravanning Club Insurance, Shield Total Insurance, Caravan Guard & Club Care Insurance.

The SAS Diamond was an axle wheel clamp that SAS distributed for BPW who were since acquired by Winterhoff, which is why it is sometimes referred to as the Winterhoff or BPW lock as well. Both companies are now part of the Al-ko group.

The SAS Diamond Lock is now no longer in production, but SAS offers the Supaclamp Duo Gold wheel clamp, as an alternative.  The Supaclamp Duo Gold wheel clamp is a Sold Secure approved wheel clamp for caravans, fitting more wheel sizes and requiring no modification to the caravan to fit.
